Two-Day Educator Training: Montessori-Inspired Computational Thinking
April 10-11, 2021 | 9:30-11:30am each day
May 15-16, 2021 | 9:30-11:30am each day
$120/participant includes both days

Through this two-day training, participants will be able to define computational thinking, and why it matters for young learners today. They will understand the foundational principles of computational thinking, and how those principles can integrate seamlessly with the fundamentals of Montessori.
Participants will understand methods of integrating computational thinking in their classrooms. This includes developmentally-appropriate curriculum modules. They will be prepared with questions a child might ask, as well as ways of exploring concepts together with a child. This training includes in-depth demonstrations of all of the materials, so that participants can develop familiarity with the materials, understand the concepts behind them and how they work, and ask questions of our teacher-trainers, all in a fun and supportive environment.
This training is perfect for educators (or parents) who are interested in learning everything about using Learning Beautiful materials in their learning environments.

BRINGING BEST PRACTICES TO THE WORLD.

Green Ivy Learning is committed to bringing best practices in future-focused education to classrooms and learning spaces around the world by providing training and consultation in cutting-edge learning models. These practices are founded on the belief that early introduction to the foundations of technology ensures more mindful, creative contributions to the digital world and better positions learners to engage technology for solution-building rather than the passive consumption and "screen time" that worries most parents.

Green Ivy educators currently offer trainings in Montessori-based Learning Beautiful, founded and developed by Kim Smith at the MIT Media Lab.
